Related Learning Disabilities. Many learning disability categories appear to be related to dyslexia. Davis methods have been used successfully to provide improvement for all the following conditions. ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder):
This drug free approach helps those with ADD/ADHD to control energy levels andto maintain focus. The inability to maintain attention or focus is consistent for most attention deficit children or adults. ADD/ADHD people tend to have very fast internal body clocks, are visual thinkers, and usually disorient for long periods of time. This disorientation leads to inaccurate information being processed by the person, leading to life lessons not beng earned accurately. This can be addressed, using the Davis Attention Mastery program.
Central Auditory Processing Disorder: This term is being increasingly used to describe individuals who have problems with listening, either in distinguishing sounds in their language or in comprehending the words they hear. Those who use this 'diagnosis' admit that they don't know what causes it or what to do about it. We believe it is a result of disorientation and the inability of dyslexic people to think with abstract words. Dyscalculia/Acalculia: Difficulty with math or an inability to use numbers and do math. This can be treated by the Davis Dyselxia Maths Mastery program. This program is an intensive program, which runs for at least five days. The program is done one on one with the client. The program includes mastering foundation concepts of mathematics and gaining maths skills using three dimensional learning. After the program the client should have the concepts required to start to understand Maths and to be able to learn it through more 'standard' teaching methods. Dysgraphia/Agraphia: Difficulty writing or an inability to write. The Davis focusing methods that are used in each Davis program improve the writing ability. Once this has been achieved, if there are any remaining issies, standard writing techniques will improve any remaining issues with writing. Dyspraxia : A person with Dyspraxia will often appear clumsy. Constantly knock things over, or maybe bump in to things. they were the child that always had a bump on their head or a cut. Often, they have difficulty catching a ball, and appear un-coordinated. There may be other symptoms also. Hyperactivity: Inattention or "daydreaming" with the addition of physical motion by the student. Ron Davis' theory is that this movement is caused by distortions in the senses of balance, movement and time when a student is disoriented. The Davis Attention Mastery Program addresses these issues. These types of symptoms are identified as being uner the unbrella term of dyslexia and can be treated with success by Davis Dyslexia correction programs. There are three distinct programs, each of which is designed to adapted to each individual. Call 0414 013 490 for further information. | ||||
