Multisensory Approach
The Davis Dyslexia Program uses a multisensory approach to learning. The persons reading and writing skills are improved by resolving confusions related to letters, words, numbers, punctuation. The students use all of the senses to learn. They see, touch, discuss and conceptualise the information they are learning. This normally helps the learning disabilities hugely. It does not depend solely on the listening skill, as school and most other learning methods do. Using a multisensory approach stimulates many parts of the brain and helps to provide long-term retention. This provides a true understanding for the student.
